Children's Ministries
Children’s Ministries coordinates the children’s Sabbath schools and other
activities. This includes the children’s story which is part of the main worship
service. They also make available activity bags to keep small
children occupied during church. These can be picked up in the church lobby and then returned after the service. Picnics and playtimes are scheduled
periodically. Check back for the latest details.
Community Services
Our congregation hosted
the Howard County Cold Weather Shelter November 19 to 26, 2007. This program operated by Grassroots,
with assistance by our congregation's volunteers, provided
15 to 20 individuals each day with three meals and a place to sleep. A big thanks
for all the generous assistance provided.
Although the Community Services ministry is the primary ministry to our community, numerous other ministries also serve
our community.
Health Ministries
Wholeness and faith have been an emphasis of the Seventh-day Adventist
church from the time of its organization as a church entity. Health of the
community is a vital focus of Health Ministries at the Atholton Seventh-day
Adventist Church. We will be planning health programs and events for 2008
during the month of December, and you will find them posted on this
website.
December is Blood Pressure Awareness month,
and church members will be taking blood pressures at the church and in the
community--times will be posted.
In January 2008 Karla Camberiate will begin
another series of her popular Sabbath school class on preventive health measures
and remedies taken from the writings of Ellen White.
Music Ministries
Atholton has many talented musicians who are regularly part of the worship
services and offer a variety of music styles for all ages. Concerts and
special music worship services will be posted.
Pathfinder Club
The Atholton Pathfinder club is part of a world-wide
coed "scouting" type organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Check here to get the latest on who this energetic group is, and see what they have
done and what they are planning.
Prayer Meeting
A Bible study and prayer group which meets every Wednesday, 7:30-8:45 pm at the

Women's Ministries
With new leaders in October 2007, Women’s Ministries is still in the planning stage.
Their mission is to uplift women to be all they can be as God
has ordained. They will do this through two types of ministry:
(1) Supportive -- social needs that include home meetings, trips, eating out together,
bowling and other recreation; spiritual -- retreats and meeting for prayer.
(2) Community -- visitation of the ill and shut-ins; and helping the elderly with
their special needs.
